This popular extension includes round trip transfers between Bucharest and Brasov (2 hrs), first class accommodations, 5 meals and services of an English speaking tour manager. (Not available on upstream cruises)
Day 11 Disembark – (Magurele) – Brasov (D) Head north through the beautiful Romanian countryside towards Brasov, Romania’s second largest city and renowned winter resort. On the way, stop at Sinaia and tour the magnificent Peles Castle, the residence of the last Romanian King. Arrive in time for dinner and overnight.
Day 12 Brasov (B)
After breakfast, enjoy a tour to the infamous Bran Castle, the historic home of Count Vlad the Impaler - popularized world over in Bram Stoker’s novels featuring “Count Dracula.” This imposing castle and the surrounding museum site will both entertain and educate you about the true life figure of Count Vlad, the Romanian national hero who fought the bloody Turkish occupation with equal ferociousness. Return to the city for a walking tour of the vibrant city center. The evening is free and dinner is on your own.
Day 13 Brasov – Bucharest (B,D )
After breakfast transfer to Bucharest. On arrival enjoy a half day city tour, prior to checking in to your hotel (Novotel or similar). Tonight have fun at your farewell dinner held at a popular local restaurant.
Day 14 Bucharest – End Program (B)
Its time to pack your memories away as you fly back home.
